Pacafone

DOING IT FOR MOM & THE DONKEYS

The Pacafone is lightweight, hand-made, vegan, cross-body phone pouch for mobile phones. It has a grippy, non-slip shoulder strap, and was initially going to be made for seniors.

THE BACKSTORY

First, we need to understand the product’s purpose.

The client was uncertain about the logo. Should it be a pachyderm? a donkey? just the type written out? In fact, they started developing the logo themselves.

That’s where they got it wrong. Never start with the logo. We should always aim to build a deeper story-path to determine the direction before design begins.

THE PURPOSE

The purpose is two-fold: 1) for ease of communicating and, 2) to support their Donkey Rescue.

A portion of all sales will support Martha’s Farm Animal Sanctuary, located in Southern California where they rescue miniature donkeys!

THE VALUES ARE CLEAR

What are the brand values?

One reason this product was created is to provide a "wear all day" phone bag for seniors. However, the design and focus has expanded to a broader audience.

Special Modern Design was able to convey the our vision and mission through a unique and well-thought-out brand, logo, and website. We gave them some initial ideas regarding our product and we trusted them to come up with a great design that matched our vision. We let them run with it and they did not disappoint! They really captured the mood we were aiming for."
